Zola Jesus
I've been really digging the new Zola Jesus album lately (the Spoils.) It's pretty layered, but still retains that lo-fi/mysterious quality of her earlier records. Hopefully she'll be coming through San Francisco soon!

Yeah, it seems like a lot of the bands on that Sacred Bones label are from Wisconsin (Dead Luke, Zola Jesus, Max Elliot)... How's the Midwest treating you, are you still playing drums?
I don't go to many shows here, and only know of a few local bands... but I've been listening to Peaking Lights latest album "Imaginary Falcons" quite a bit lately. Wisconsin? It's great right now, fall is beautiful here... winter is pretty brutal though. My drums are back home, so no I haven't played in a while, but I've been itching to. Oh btw, I'll be home for x-mas so we should hang
Yeah, we should definitely hang out... I'll be in town Christmas eve through New Years day. Oh and I'll try and see if I can get that Peaking Lights album at Amoeba or sumthin.
